Pixx komt met tweede album naar KFK Hope

Twee jaar geleden opende Pixx de Castello op Pukkelpop. Nu komt ze terug met een nieuwe plaat.

We pikten Hannah Rodgers aka Pixx al op in mei 2016 toen ze het voorprogramma mocht spelen van Lush in The Roundhouse in Londen. En nog voor haar prima album ‘The Age Of Axiety’ verscheen, riepen we haar uit tot “Queen For Tonight” nog voor haar passage in de AB Box.

Straks (op 14 juni) komt ze naar KFK Hope te Brussel en brengt ze haar tweede album ‘Small Mercies’ mee dat een week eerder uitkomt. Als eerste kennismaking bracht de nog altijd maar drieëntwintigjarige ex-BRIT school studente vandaag de single Disgrace uit.  

“This song is about growing up in an ultra-conservative Catholic school which was restrictive and oppressive,” Rodgers explains. “I think there is a lack of humanity in the way that system works, rather than teaching empathy and kindness it forces people into a dangerous self-loathing cycle. This is an ode to anyone trapped in a place they don’t feel they belong.”
