Föllakzoid-frontvrouw brengt soloalbum uit

'Æ' verschijnt op 10 september bij Sacred Bones records.

De plaat volgt na Föllakzoids laatste album 'I' en de bijhorende tour, die ook Japan aandeed. Dat laatste was de aanleiding tot de samenwerking met de Japanse mode-ontwerper Kozaburo en werd tegelijk de aanleiding voor dit solowerk, waaraan zij begon tijdens een residency in een minka, een Japanese traditionele boerderij, en werd voortgezet in Mexico.

Domingæ gaat volgens het persbericht op haar debuut voor "electronic, seductive, dark, minimal yet rich, and about decomposition, dissolution, subtraction, depuration, exploration, symbiosis with the musical craft, also uninstalling the usual softwares, where she has become a channel in which the shadows inhabit."

Zelf zegt ze daarover: "The notion of individuals as part of a universe that is singular and separate from the whole is obsolete, as is solid matter and so on. We are deconstructed and dissolved into multividuals, parts, and whole of the multiverses that manifest as reality."
