De nieuwe Queens Of The Stone Age nog voor dit jaar?

2017 brengt een nieuwe plaat van Queens Of The Stone Age.

Althans, dat is watTroy Sanders - in het dagelijkse leven vooral bandlid van Mastodon - zich liet ontvallen.

Sanders speelt dezer dagen ook samen met Troy Van Leeuwen (gitarist van Queens Of The Stone Age) in de band Gone Is Gone.

Tijdens een interview met Rolling Stone liet hij zich ontvallen dat alle bandleden van Gone Is Gone met hun andere band dit jaar een nieuwe plaat zullen uitbrengen.

“I like to think none of us needs this band, but we all really want this band. When that’s the mentality, this is special to the four of us. Otherwise, we wouldn’t dedicate the first week of 2017 to working on this band. For example, Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon and At the Drive-In have all been recording, and we all have new records coming out this year. We’ve all been extremely busy writing and recording, and we’re about to get super busy touring the world. So I believe we’re all fulfilled to a certain degree with all we have going on.”

Dus mogen we nieuw werk verwachten van zowel Mastodon, At The Drive-In en Queens Of The Stone Age.

Vorige zomer liet zanger Josh Homme ook al weten dat Queens of the Stone Age als volgende project opnieuw in z'n agenda stond.

'...Like Clockwork', het laatste album van Queens Of The Stone Age kwam uit in 2013.
