Werkt Pennywise aan nieuw materiaal?

De frontman van de vermaarde punkband, Jim Lindberg, deelt interessante kiekjes.

Op zijn Instagrampagina deelt Jim de laatste tijd geregeld foto's en filmpjes waaruit blijkt dat hij druk bezig is in de eigen kleine opnamestudiootje in zijn hobbykamer. Het laatste album 'Never Gonna Die' dateert alweer uit 2018. Dus het zou best eens kunnen dat er een nieuw album in de planning zit. Dit zijn natuurlijk pure speculaties; maar wij blijven de ontwikkelingen nauwlettend volgen.

Op 29 februari plaatste Lindberg een filmpje waarin hij het nummer California Hell ten gehore brengt; deze song is nog nooit uitgebracht door de band.

“Isn’t this nice? Isn’t this swell? Well it looks like California but it feels like Hell.” Wrote the dumb little song about being catastrophically hungover probably 25 years ago. We later used it as inspiration for a xmas jingle. Dusted it off the other day and recorded it. Kinda has a Social D country vibe. My pops played a lot of Roger Miller “King of the Road” campy stuff for us and it creeps into my writing sometimes. This song was probably written after a long night of libations and tomgogery at places like Ercoles, Shellback and Critters. Three local bars I love and have been politely removed from and left my credit card at many, many times in the past few decades. Don’t miss the hangovers at all. Remember to drink water and eat something people. And don’t drive.
