Vijfde studio-album voor Wooden Shjips

Nu gitarist Ripley Johnson zijn Moon Duo weer even in het tuinhuis heeft weggestopt, is het weer tijd om Wooden Shjips terug boven te halen. Met een volgend album bijvoorbeeld.
En dat album krijgt de hoogst originele titel ‘V’ mee. Zoals steeds is het persbericht enthousiast: "Wooden Shjips has with V. created the most concise, laid back songs of their career. Their music is a balm of sorts, a respite from the insanity that, through its regenerative abilities, empowers continued, calm resistance."
Maar oordeel vooral zelf aan de hand van Staring At The Sun, de eerste single uit het album.
