The National en Bon Iver brengen streaming device en cover uit

Aaron en Bryce Dessner, beter bekend als The National, en Bon Iver hebben vandaag vandaag een bètaversie van een nieuwe streamingdienst uitgebracht. PEOPLE, want zo zal de dienst heten, is niet bedoeld als concurrentie van Spotify of Apple Music, maar moet "artist-directed" zijn. 

“We want to create a place to evolve and share ideas around the year. That’s why we are in the process of building our own digital platform where the music from recordings, sessions and live events as well as visual art, podcasts and essays can find a home. For all the raw, the unpackaged, the experiments and the evolved ideas", staat er te lezen op de website.

Daarnaast hebben ze ook nog een cover uitgebracht van Leonard Cohens Memories. Die cover werd al in 2016 opgenomen, maar nu dus pas vrijgegeven. Beluister het nummer hier.
