The Smashing Pumpkins kondigen livealbum aan

De plaat zal op zaterdag 31 juli in pre-order gaan.

The Smashing Pumpkins gaan nog eens nostalgisch terugblikken op de gloriedagen, en dat met een nieuw livealbum. 'Live at the Viper Room 1998', opgenomen in (jawel) 1998 in de befaamde Hollywood-venue, is naar verluidt een akoestisch werk. 

"The thing you hear in the Viper Room show is you're really sort of being allowed into the studio where the songs don't have the accouterment of all the bells and whistles", aldus Billy Corgan. "There's a certain innocence before songs are released to the world."

De release volgt op 'Live in Japan, 1992'. Die was in geen tijd uitverkocht, dus wie een exemplaar wil, zal snel moeten zijn.
