Robert Smith (The Cure) wordt curator van Meltdown Festival

De vijfentwintigste editie van het Londense Meltdown festival heeft een curator; en niet van de minste: Robert Smith, frontman van The Cure.

Elk jaar weer gaan de organisatoren op zoek naar een nieuwe curator. Smith was alvast tevreden: “I am honoured and excited to be curating the 25th Meltdown Festival. More than 30 of my all time favourite artists – some of the most exciting, inspirational, intense and influential performers of the last 40 years – will make sure this 10-night extravaganza at London’s Southbank Centre is the must-see event of the summer!”

Misschien toch maar even het Kanaal over dan? Het festival vindt plaats tussen 15 en 24 juni.
