Phosphorescent bekijkt het luchtig

Er is nogal wat gebeurd sinds Matthew Houck, zoals de man achter Phosphorescent heet, zijn vorige plaat ('Muchacho' uit 2013) maakte. Op 5 oktober verschijnt zijn nieuwe.

 

Twee keer vader worden, wegtrekken uit New York en een eigen studio bouwen; dan heb je al iets om over te zingen. En hij geeft ook toelichting: ”These significant moments in life can really make you feel your insignificance. It’s a paradox I guess, that these wildly profound events simultaneously highlight that maybe none of this matters at all…”

 

'C'est La Vie' komt uit op 5 oktober en gaat over dit “newfound landscape. Of the discovery of new paradigms and the disposal of those no longer useful”, zoals het persbericht het omschrijft.

 

Op 23 oktober stelt hij het album voor in de Botanique in het kader van Autumn Falls.
