On the road met King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Hopla, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard gooien nog eentje op hun reeds indrukwekkende stapel albums.

Op 17 april komt er alweer een nieuw album uit van King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, een dubbelalbum zelfs en ‘Chunky Shrapnel’ zal zijn première maken als livestream. Er hoort immers een film bij die opnames bevat van de Europese tour van 2019. Het dubbele live album zelf komt eigenlijk pas de week daarna uit op 24 april.

Over het project zegt de band: "A musical road movie dipped in turpentine, Chunky Shrapnel is a point of view/onstage experience from the perspective of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Once a song begins, just like the band, you're stuck in the adrenaline-fueled quicksand that there is no escape from. The film's contention is clear from the outset, it's going to be a 'journey' not a 'lecture,' an incurved experience rather than a linear one."
