Nieuw album op komst van Soft Cell

Goed nieuws voor wie vroeger met plezier het ‘Non Stop Erotic Cabaret’ bezocht.

Marc Almond en Dave Ball, samen bekend als Soft Cell, hebben plannen. De twee zijn bezig aan een nieuw album, hun eerste sinds ‘Cruelty Without Beauty’ uit 2002. Het duo heeft al wat van het nieuwe materiaal gedeeld in een Facebookpost (zie lager).

Een releasedatum is er nog niet, maar in de Daily Star bevestigde Ball de nieuwe plaat: "We haven't tried to write another 'Tainted Love.' Maybe we should! But it'd be inappropriate for two 60-something men to try to write bouncy little pop numbers. That doesn't mean we've become miserable, and it's not heavy industrial music either. I'd say the songs are sounding quite minimal, melodic and bass-driven."
