The first new Material album in 18 years is coming on April 24th on M.O.D. Technologies. It will be a historic collaboration with the The Master Musicians of Jajouka led by Bachir Attar. The lineup features Bill Laswell, Hamid Drake, Aiyb Dieng, Graham Haynes, and Peter Peter Apfelbaum. It promises to be a monster release. There is no more influential act on my entire musical life than Material. Their 'Hallucination Engine' album literally changed my life and how I hear music.
