Liveplaat van Neil Young voor Record Store Day

'ROXY - Tonight's The Night Live' zal op Record Store Day, dit jaar op 21 april, uitkomen op dubbel-lp.

De plaat zal opnames bevatten van de concerten die Neil Young gaf op 20, 21 en 22 september 1973 in het Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Vanaf 24 april zullen de gewone releases op cd, lp e digitaal beschikbaar zijn. Op 5 maart start de voorintekening op de dubbelaar.

In zijn autobiografie zegt Young het volgende over de concerten: “We really knew the Tonight's the Night songs so we just played them again, the album, top to bottom, two sets a night for a few days. We had a great time. 'ROXY - Tonight's the Night Live' is the live recording we made. There is a little Super 8 footage of us driving to the gig in the Black Queen one of those nights."

Deze plaat is de eerste van een reeks uitgaves in verband met de opening van zijn archieven. Er werd ook al gewag gemaakt van een liveplaat uit de tour van 2012/2013 met Crazy Horse.
