Johnny Marr geeft details vierde album vrij

De ex-gitarist van The Smiths is al aan zijn vierde soloplaat toe.

Op 25 februari brengt Johnny Marr ‘Fever Dreams Pts 1-4’ uit via BMG. Het album telt maar liefst zestien tracks en is het eerste werk sinds ‘Call The Comet’ waarmee Marr een toptiennotering scoorde over Het Kanaal.

Eerste single Spirit, Power and Soul is zowel de voorloper als de openingstrack van de plaat en kwam een maand geleden uit.

Marr zelf zegt over de plaat: “There’s a set of influences and a very broad sound that I’ve been developing - really since getting out of The Smiths until now, and I hear it in this record. There are so many strands of music in it. We didn’t do that consciously, but I think I’ve got a vocabulary of sound. And I feel very satisfied that I’ve been able to harness it.”
