Iron & Wine gaat helemaal 'Beast Epic'

Frontman Sam Beam kondigt een nieuw Iron & Wine-album aan.

Zijn samenwerking met Jesca Hoop zit nog vers in het geheugen en ook zijn album met covers samen met Ben Bridwell uit 2015 mocht er wezen, maar nu is het weer tijd voor eigen werk. 'Beast Epic' verschijnt op 25 augustus en zal voor het eerst sinds 'Ghost On Ghost' (uit 2013 alweer) terug nieuw materiaal bevatten.

Zoals dat dan gaat is er ook een voorproevertje. Die heet in dit geval Call It Dreaming en kan u hieronder bekijken.

En als u zich afvraagt, waar de titel op slaat: “To be honest, I’ve named this record BEAST EPIC mostly because it sounds really fucking cool! However, with that said and perhaps to be completely honest, ‘a story where animals talk and act like people’ sounds like the perfect description for the life of any of us. If not that, then it’s at least perfect for any group of songs I’ve ever tried to make. I hope you enjoy it.”
