Het neefje van Wilco

Er komt alweer een nieuw album aan van de alt-country-grootheden.

Wilco heeft een nieuw album klaar. 'Cousin' met eerste single Evicted als voorproefje verschijnt op 29 september via dBpm. De plaat werd geproducet door Cate Le Bon. Merkwaardig, want sinds 'Sky Blue Sky' zette Wilco geen producer van buiten de band meer in. 

Le Bon ontmoette Wilco op het Solid Sound Festival in 2019, waarna Jeff Tweedy haar uitnodigde in hun studio in 2022. “The amazing thing about Wilco is they can be anything” geeft Le Bon mee over de samenwerking. “They’re so mercurial, and there’s this thread of authenticity that flows through everything they do, whatever the genre, whatever the feel of the record. There aren’t many bands who are able to, this deep into a successful career, successfully change things up.”

Wilco speelt op 10 augustus op de Lokerse Feesten.
