De details omtrent nieuwe Cypress Hill-plaat

Op 28 september arriveert de nieuwe plaat van Cypress Hill in de winkels. Het zal het eerste album van de beruchte hiphoppers zijn in tien jaar.

 

'Band Of Gypsies is, zoals Muggs het uitlegde in een interview met Rolling Stone, geïnspireerd door de acid variant van rock-'n-roll: "Psychedelic rock and stuff has been a big influence on me," Muggs explained. "I've been listening to it since it was in my mother's and my uncle's collection. … I had the idea what the name of this record was going to be and then I just started building the whole sound around [it]. Just a whole sound like feeling like you're high on hallucinogenic drugs — but you're not on no drugs."

 

Vandaar dat er gitaren, fluiten en zelfs een sitar werden bijgehaald voor dit album. Hieronder kan je het resultaat daarvan horen in een eerste single.

 

Op 21 december stelt Cypress Hill het nieuwe werk voor in AFAS Live in Amsterdam.
