David Byrne cureert playlist

Als David Byrne (Talking Heads) een playlistje cureert, dan hebben we daar best oren naar. Byrne ontdekte recent de Lebanese zangeres Yasmine Hamdan ('Al Jamilat') en was zo van zijn melk door een liveshow van haar, dat hij van de weeromstuit een fantastisch playlistje in elkaar stak. 

Toelichting door Byrne: "Here’s a playlist that includes a few Yasmine songs and exciting, energetic and beautiful songs from the Middle East and the Maghreb—both new and old. Some of these are songs Brian Eno and I were listening to around the time we did the Bush of Ghosts album many years ago, others are from the last year or so."
