The Feather - Sister

The Feather is terug met betoverende single Sister.

The Feather, het soloproject van Thomas Medard(Dan San), is eindelijk terug. Zeven jaar na het delicate ‘Invisible’ leidt het folkpoppad dat de Belgische singer-songwriter bewandelde naar een meer dream pop-wereld waarin synths, drummachines een rol opeisen naast klassieke instrumenten.

In september was er al een eerste voorsmaakje met Closer, maar met Sister eist The Feather toch echt een plaats op naast meer hedendaags klinkende bands.

Over de song zegt Medard het volgend: ‘With Sister I wanted to describe how I - and the others around me - relate to screens. How social media affect us all, how we are connected at all time while deeply disconnected from reality. Does social media connect or disconnect us? The contradiction between having the ability, the ‘power’ to know everything about someone in just a few clicks..   while having the feeling of being watched ourselves.  Musically this song marks a turning point in my writing with the use of bass as the main instrument of composition, which is the case of other pieces of the upcoming album’.

Dat album mogen we ergens in dit voorjaar verwachten, maar voorlopig kunnen we ons opwarmen aan de nieuwe single en misschien al een paar nieuwe songs leren kennen op de aankomende live shows: 25.01.2020 – Prabbeli, Wiltz (LUX), 31.01.2020 – Volta, Brussel, 01.02.2020 - Primitive Music, Fleron.
