Pablo Brooks uit Düsseldorf, Duitsland is nog maar negentien en je zou hem een echte "pop kid" kunnen noemen aangezien hij vooral fluffy dansnummers maakt. Maar zijn nieuwe single gaat een heel andere richting uit. Daarin stelt hij zich nederig en kwetsbaar op, terwijl hij aan de piano een open brief aan zijn toekomstige zelf voordraagt. Alles zit erin: van lockdowneenzaamheid tot tienerangst en het is nog knap gezongen ook. Wedden dat heel wat tieners hiervoor zullen vallen als een blok?

"I wrote Dear Future Me shortly after turning eighteen, in a time in which I didn't really know what to do with myself. My time in school had come to an end and all my friends moved to different cities, and somehow, I was on my own for the first time in my life. The song started out as a letter, full with questions I had no answer to, mixed with memories and emotions from my adolescent years: high and low points, the happy times and hardship, euphoric feelings and disappointment. For me this song is a manifestation of my dreams and wishes for the future and all the things to come."
